OneWorld Health invites you to participate in our volunteer experiences throughout the year in Honduras. These opportunities not only allow us to provide essential healthcare services but also help us connect with and support the communities we serve.
Our mission to deliver quality care to those in need thrives with the support of volunteers like you. No medical background is required to make a significant impact. If you are driven by the desire to contribute to a better world and are ready for an enriching and transformative experience, you will make an excellent volunteer with OneWorld Health. Plus, you don’t need to speak Spanish; we provide interpreters to ensure effective communication.
Stay and Serve in Siguatepeque
By staying in Siguatepeque, just an hour from Comayagua Airport, you'll have the chance to visit three of our distinctive clinics: our urban clinic and lab in Siguatepeque, our Telehealth clinic in Porterillos, and our Mobile Clinic, which operates in different locations each weekday.
Itinerary:
The day of arrival is for preparation and getting to know each other.
Volunteers on this trip will create an outreach in a different rural community each day utilizing a school or church Tuesday through Friday.
Saturday the team will provide public health education and outreach in the community with our local partners.
Sunday is for celebration and a cultural excursion
Monday the group heads home
Family members 12 and under: $500 + Flight
General Fee: $2,150 + Flight
University Affiliate Fee: $2,050 + Flight
(students and chaperones traveling with a partnering institution)

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Participants must have an active passport. Passport must be valid for 6 months form return date home.
- Passport must have one blank page
Responsibilities
- Complete Training Tasks- If one application, please do so as a family
- Adhere to Safety Contract + Team Covenant agreed to during training
- Be Flexible
- Final fundraising amount/payment to be complete two weeks prior to trip
Restrictions
- Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a family member
- Adults must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for over an hour
