Team Nicaragua: Sunday

After a long day of travel yesterday the team woke up ready for the day ahead. We started off visiting a local church in Managua and the people were extremely grateful for us being there. I think my favorite part was when they sang one of their songs in English just for us. It was evident the local OneWorld Health staff have a great connection with this community and OneWorld Heath does a lot for their people. We learned that OneWorld Health has served 400 kids from their church!

After church we wasted no time and our adventurous crew took a hiking trip on the Mombacho volcano. Although the bus ride up and down the mountain were thrilling enough, we really enjoyed the hike through the rainforest.

Something that stuck out to me today was this morning I was reading Psalm 90 and the last verse says, “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” The definition of establish is “set up on a firm or permanent basis”. It is evident that OneWorld Health is established in Nicaragua and that has been encouraging for our team to see. We are all excited to start touring the facilities tomorrow!
