OneWorld Health is proud to be teaming up with Making Home Here to offer an exclusive partnership trip to Managua, Nicaragua. This trip is designed to allow families to serve communities in-need, and to cast vision for the long-term impact of this partnership. Making Home Here is the leading partner in the development of our new Diagnostic and Imaging Center, set to open in 2022. This team will help build upon foundation of quality care, and connect communities to their local permanent facility.
Week Itinerary
Saturday:
Travel from the US and arrive in Managua.
Sunday:
Tour the city, meet our amazing local staff and prepare for the week.
Monday + Tuesday:
Conduct medical outreach fairs at our permanent medical center with the leadership of our local staff.
Wednesday:
Celebrate accomplishments with the team, visit the future site of Diagnostic Center, travel to rural facility for tour.
Wednesday-Saturday:
Optional vacation days on the coast of Nicaragua (coordination support from OneWorld Health, but not included).

Prerequisites
- Complete online training
- Be timely in response for correspondence
- Follow all CDC requirements + immunizations (at this time nothing is required for entry)
Responsibilities
- Non-Medical Roles: registration, pharmacy, children’s therapy, glasses distribution and clinic coordination
- Medical Roles: triage, provider, pharmacy, therapy and dental
Restrictions
- You must be able to sit/stand on hard surfaces and for long periods of time
- You must be able to walk a mile
