Our weeklong experiences provide a unique cultural, educational and impactful experience for our volunteers.
As a volunteer, you are a representative of OneWorld Health in the regions we serve. The legacy you leave will be what we continue to build upon for years after your departure. With this responsibility, OneWorld Health holds high expectations for our representatives in the field.

Week Itinerary
Saturday:
Depart from the US + Arrive in Costa Rica
Sunday:
Tour the town, meet our CFCI hosts and prepare for the week.
Monday-Friday:
Conduct outreach in the San Jose community with the leadership of CFCI
Friday-Saturday:
Enjoy an epic sunset on the coast and day in the sun as a debrief to the week.
Sunday:
Complete all COVID-19 requirements for travel, depart Costa Rica and arrive to US.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- You must have an eligible passport.
- You must have COVID-19 full vaccination.
- We expect you to be timely in response for correspondence.
- You are required to complete online training.
Responsibilities
- Non-Medical Roles: registration, pharmacy, children’s therapy, logistics assistance and clinic coordination
- Medical Roles: dentist, dental assistant, dental hygienist, triage, provider and pharmacy
Restrictions
- You must be 18 years or older or with a parent/guardian.
Preparation
- Ensure valid passport and immunizations required for travel.
- Compile all medical qualifications for submission.
- Apply + pay $100 application fee.
- Standby for communication from the OneWorld Health Mobilization Team!
