Team Uganda: Clinic Day 5

Our last day of clinic in Ntooma turned out to be another success. By day’s end, we had seen over 150 patients. With today’s clinic in the books, our patient count for the week is over 1,250. I think we all were a bit tired at the end of clinic but also felt lucky to have had this opportunity to serve so many people. Hopefully the treatments we offered can at least ease the suffering for a short period of time in some lives that are so full of hardship.

After a quick pit stop back at the hotel we packed up for an overnight trip/safari to Murchison Park. The welcoming committee consisted of some park security guards and a roving pack of baboons. By day’s end, we were eating dinner by the Nile River hoping not to have any close encounters with angry hippos.

After dinner, we enjoyed some song and dance by camp fire with local villagers. We’ll all sleep well tonight reflecting on what we experienced this past week and gearing up for safari tomorrow.
