Wheelchair Team Uganda: Day 2

Habari (that means hello in Swahili, one of the 52+ local languages)!!!

We wrapped up day two of the Wheelchair Clinic today, completing seven wheelchair fittings. Megan and I started the morning with this wonderful woman, Susan, who let us know she was as blessed to be served; we were even more blessed to be able to serve her!

Later on, Kaitie had the bonus opportunity to lead our friend Peter through a physical therapy session for leg strengthening. He came in crawling with a single crutch due to an accident where his “boda-boda” collided with a tractor; this left him with one sound limb and a below the knee amputation. He was a rockstar and was able to take some steps using crutches; we have high hopes for Peter being able to walk again!
