Wheelchair Team Uganda: Day 5

Today was day five and the final day of the wheelchair clinic here at Masindi-Kitara Medical Centre. Being the last day, the team was filled with an excitement to maximize our final hours. Yet, we knew a handful of “goodbyes” and “see you laters” were set to come soon.

Our team was able to fit nine wheelchairs, four sets of crutches, three rolling walkers, one posterior walker, and two and a hlaf hours of rehab, for our good friend Peter. Our goal today and each day we have been here was to serve, encourage, equip, and educate each individual to give them a better quality of life then they had before. That has looked different for each patient, but I have been overwhelmed with how this team has given so much personalized care to every person that has come to our clinic. This has been a great experience and we will miss all the amazing individuals that have invested in this mission during our time in Uganda.

Now, it’s time for the Safari!
